Ingredients Quality

At SLP, our priority is accorded to the quality of ingredients, choice of vendors who supply raw material and monitoring the process from procurement to the final product to ensure the highest of standards. Procurement/Vendor Selection
  • Procure ingredients only from Sales Tax registered vendors
  • Only use branded products and partner with renowned suppliers
Process
  • Monitor inbound raw materials for quality at the point of receipt
  • Perform expiry checks and reject expired items
  • Examine perishables for quality based on brand and quality specifications
  • Maintain inventory of received raw materials
  • Strict adherence to FIFO to avoid unnecessary levels of inventory
  • Inspect raw materials before using them
  • Random sampling to monitor the quality of cooked items

Quality Management

At Quess, we have put in place a holistic Quality Management System that conforms to globally recogniszed quality & and food safety standards. This includes various procedures, processes, and protocols that are crucial to ensure effective planning and execution of tasks across all facets of operations.

  • Set up measurable objectives and review them regularly
  • Create a HACCP plan & control measure analysis
  • Establish and monitor timing and temperature control across operations
  • Conduct timely internal audits for improvement in FSMS
  • Audit of compliance & standard requirements by the QHSE team

TRACEABILITY

SLP maintains supplier and process traceability by carrying out the following steps:

All packages and food entering the premises are traced to the supplier.
Products manufactured are traced back to the primary ingredient and raw materials.
The team verifies and validates the efficacy and suitability of the food safety management system.
The system is validated before implementation and during the failure of control measures.

The Food Safety team follows a well-drafted plan to verify and validate the effectiveness and suitability of systems such as SOP, SSOP, HACCP plan and GMPs. These systems are validated prior to implementation and incorporate relevant checks & balances.
